Hi, I’m Wendy

I work with founders, practitioners, and educators building thoughtful online businesses.

My work sits at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and digital infrastructure. I help turn ideas into platforms that actually support the life and work behind them.

How I Got Here

The path that got me here was a windy one, but aren’t they all? After spending more than 20 years in retail management, the 2009 economic recession put a swift end to that path when the company I worked for went bankrupt. What seemed, at the time, a tragic turn of events, ended up being the most important pivot point in my career… and my life.

That shift in my career also led me to relocate. I eventually found my way to my new home (for the second time), Chicago. Chicago is where I fully stepped away from retail and into the online world. I started out writing full time - blog articles, SEO articles, website content, and more. I’ve always been a writer, so this was sort of a dream at the time. After hours upon hours of cranking out articles about everything from catheters to gold bouillon, I decided to see what else the digital world had in store for me.

The transition was natural. I went from writing exclusively, to dipping my toes in the waters of marketing, design, and all things digital infrastructure. It was so closely linked to all of the many-hat-wearing I had to do in retail. My equal right- and left-brained-ness was made for this world. This was where I belonged.

Once I found my place, the business grew organically. I started working with brands that make a difference in the world - wellness businesses, spiritual entrepreneurs, and companies led by their values. The work is meaningful to me because it’s meaningful to the consumer it’s designed for. My favorite thing is working with a brand that isn’t quite sure what step 1 should be, but they are 100% sure they need to get their work out there. I love seeing their vision come to life and supporting them through their growth.

A Little More About Me

From January 1, 2022 until November 1, 2025, we traveled the southwestern US in our RV. We explored, we released all of the things that kept us tied to a sticks and bricks house, and we reconnected with nature.

Traveling taught me so much and helped me reshape my understanding of balance and boundaries. It also taught me that something will almost always go wrong, what matters most is how you respond.

As we traveled, my work life evolved. I began to fully understand the kinds of people I wanted to work with - and the kinds of people I don’t. No hustle culture. No bro marketing. I only wanted authenticity, kindness, and work that helps people.

As we traveled, personal tragedies struck. We lost my mother-in-law, my father-in-law, and (10 days later) my father. We then lost our dog, Willow. And then we lost the heart of our family, our dog, Oak. It was a lot of loss compressed into a 1-2 year period.

It changed us.

As we traveled, we also reconnected to the most important thing in our life: our health. We stopped drinking alcohol at the end of year one of travel and haven’t looked back. We recommitted to our health overall; focusing on eating well, movement, and yoga.

Now we’ve begun to settle onto our two properties - one for summer, one for winter - in Arizona and New Mexico. We plan to continue living off-grid and build eco-dwellings to keep us connected to nature. Our family is complete again with the addition of Ivy, our rescue terrier mix, and Ash, our Blue Lacy rescue.

Alongside my client work, I run several online shops where I sell art, stationery, home goods, and apparel. I’m also a registered yoga teacher, Reiki master, tarot aficionado, poet, and film lover.
